Oval Casseroles
I need 2 old recipes, a seafood casserole from Piccadilly cafeteria and a green chili from Kmart restaurant.?
The Piccadilly Cafeteria was in Thomas Mall in Phoenix, Arizona and I loved their seafood casserole. It was a cracker or bread base and had no rice or noodle but reminded me of a seafood stuffing that was baked in individual oval casserole dishes. The restaurant is no longer there but in the 1960′s and 1970′s it was a favorite place to go! The green chili sauce was from the old restaurants in Kmart stores, made with ground beef, tomatoes, green chilies and onions, I made it often when I worked there in the late 1970′s but cannot remember exactly how to make it. It was served over the fried burritos as a Deluxe Burrito dish.
